For the past two years our farmers have struggled to transport CSA boxes to pick-up locations and have had to rely on a generous volunteer’s large car.
This year our CSA is expanding and we no longer have the room in our personal vehicles to transport produce. A van is crucial for this expansion, which in turn would transform refugee families’ lives and economic situations.
Another added benefit of a van is it would allow Transplanting Traditions to expand the refugee youth program. Currently this program is bottle-necked by the difficulty of transporting our youth to and from the farm and to other organizational events.
This holiday season consider giving a gift on behalf of a loved one to our farm van fund.
