Early on we had the idea of making farming how-to videos for our Karen and Burmese farmers. We weren’t sure if they would be useful or even watched but here we are three videos later. The families have found them very useful and they have helped us to successfully get some important agricultural info distributed. I knew they were a success when at our first planting the farmers were out there using their planting guides and yardsticks to measure planting spacing for different veggies and correctly fertilizing their rows. The videos allow information presented in our weekly workshops to be shown to family members that weren’t able to attend or to iterate learned ideas. I also like the fact that they can be used for years to come.
